SHOUTOUT TO: Jessica Huddleston of Franklin High School
"Jessica Huddleston is a senior at Franklin High School. She was on the Livonia Red gymnastic team and Franklin track team loving long jump. Her junior year was difficult as we had found out she had a serious health issue. She left competitive gymnastics and joined the high school team to continue her passion. We told her to have fun and not push herself until after the surgery. Of course, she was determined and enjoyed meeting new friends and reaching new goals. Jess qualified for States and earned 4 medals. Her successful surgery was six days later. This year, she was the only Captain from Franklin. Her gymnastic career ended as Regional gymnastic champion and qualification for all-around again at the State meet (which was cancelled). She was devastated. This passionate, creative, young lady is so missing all the senior activities and her last track season. Jess will attend Grand Valley in the fall and we look forward to all the amazing things she will discover."
